Leverage On Long Tail Keywords When Researching The Market

There are a lot of ways to make a living on the web. But no matter which path you decide on, it all starts out with market research. You have got to find a group of buyers who have a typical problem or desire. After that all you need to do is sell them information that solve the difficulty or fulfill the need.

Market research can be separated into two segments - choosing a lucrative niche along with finding long tail search terms inside of that niche. The good news is the fact that there are lots of totally free tools readily available to do this. Some of the best tools are made available by Google itself. Therefore the first thing to do is register for an account with Google. After you have done that, visit Google's search-based keyword tool at www.Google.com/sktool. Enter the terms 'buy, purchase, order, get' (without quotation marks) into the search field. The sktool will list out 800 words or terms that contain these buying keywords along with other useful data like amount of competition, searches each month etc. All you need to do is choose the phrase that you feel is most suitable for yourself, if possible one that has at least 2,500 queries per month.

Then, click the icon that looks similar to a magnifying glass next to the search term that you have selected. This will take you to Google Insights for Search, one more free tool from Google at www.Google.com/insights. It'll automatically search the phrase that you have picked and produce the related info at Google insights. Scroll down to the lower portion of the page and you will notice other similar search phrases. Take note of all the associated search terms that you discover.

Now you might have around 10 buying keyword terms in a specific niche. This basically implies that there are actually folks seeking info to fix a problem or meet a need inside this niche. Next, you will need to investigate further into how big a market this niche is and find more key phrase ideas.

Go to amazon.com, ebay.com, magazines.com and clickbank.com. Put the primary keyword of the niche in the search field and see if there are products that are mentioned in these websites inside of this niche. It's likely you will find products in just about all these websites pertaining to your niche. Quickly examine some of the products for ideas - both search term ideas and product ideas. The next stage is to uncover long tail keywords.

To do this, check out Google's external keyword tool at https://adwords.Google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal. Type in your 10 key phrases and it will generate a listing of connected keywords. Take note of the keyword phrases with a minimum of 3 words in them (long tail keywords) and also which produce at least 2,500 queries per month.

Then go to the Google search engine at www.Google.com and type in the main keyword within quotation marks. As you are typing, Google is going to present you with related search terms. Take note of the long tail keywords. As soon as you click the search button, Google will list out all the sites related to your search phrase (this is referred to as the SERP or Search Engine Results Page). Take note of the quantity of websites shown (it is listed at the top right hand part of the page). You are targeting keywords having a maximum of 1,000,000 websites. If it is considerably bigger than 1 million, then the keyword is way too competitive. Do the same thing with all of the search terms that you have and select the ones which have less than 1 million competing websites.

For each of the keywords you input into Google, look at the bottom of the SERP and you will discover additional suggested associated keywords. Just click on them and you can get even more keywords. Drill down into the keywords as deeply as you can till you discover long tail keywords with lower than 1 million competing websites.

When you have performed your market research good enough, you will now have found a niche that includes ready customers and the long tail keywords (around 10 will be alright) they use in order to search in the search engine for info to do with a product to purchase. The subsequent step would be Product or service Research and Development which is going to be discussed in the next article.
